Our History

The “great-grandparent” of Pilgrim Congregational Church was founded in 1685, and we are one of the oldest continuing churches in Nashua. We have been gathering in our current building since 1956.

We are a member congregation of the United Church of Christ (ucc.org) and the New Hampshire Conference of the United Church of Christ (nhcucc.org). Pilgrim Church actively works toward being a Beloved Community that has mission woven into every aspect of our church life. A Beloved Community is one that is non violent, just, merciful, that values true peace and that manifests God's love in the world. We voted in 2018 to become an Open and Affirming (ONA) congregation. Here is our Open and Affirming statement (Open and Affirming Covenant).
